Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention advocacy group, is seeking a Director of Email and SMS Campaigns. We are looking for a skilled people-leader, technologist, and strategist to assist with the growing grassroots movement to prevent gun violence.

This person will manage a team of digital campaigners who provide strategy and execution for the organization’s state and national campaigns, using email and broadcast SMS to engage our supporters online and offline. This Director should be energetic, entrepreneurial, and ready to grow the team’s digital campaign skills while helping the fight to end gun violence in this country.

This is a full-time position with Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, based in our New York City or Washington, D.C. office and following a hybrid work schedule.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Director of Email and SMS Campaigns will lead Everytown’s email and SMS campaign strategy, overseeing a team of digital campaigners and working across the organization to strengthen supporter engagement. The Director will help ensure state and national campaigns are strategic, coordinated, and responsive to the needs of the organization and the movement.

• Oversee a team of digital campaigners who manage all regional and national email and SMS campaigns.

  • Through regular check-ins and coaching, grow direct reports’ digital strategy, project management, people management, and communication skills.

  • Lead a weekly team meeting where direct reports collaborate on campaign strategy, messaging, and team process projects.

  • Based on team needs, provide solutions-oriented feedback to organizational leaders on how to improve campaign planning and other internal processes.

• Monitor and report out on big-picture email and SMS campaign performance, recommending optimizations consistently.

• Collaborate with leadership of other departments to develop ambitious goals and creative strategies for engagement and supporter-centric campaigns.

  • Lead cross-department coordination with Support Growth and Cultivation, including identifying opportunities for increased collaboration.

• Maintain a culture of learning, experimentation, and iteration across all our channels. Seek out new practices and learnings from others both within and outside the organization to share with the team.

• Act in a leadership role in partnering with the Data and Field teams to create integrated user journeys and segmentation strategies.

• Leverage lapsed data to identify ways to grow our movement and re-engage supporters.

• Coordinate the creation and dissemination of digital content (websites, email, online actions, videos, social and multimedia content) for priority campaigns and mobilizations.

• Bring flexibility and responsiveness to urgent, time-sensitive moments; this role will occasionally require work outside of standard hours to support rapid-response needs.

YOU WILL HAVE

• 4+ years of digital advocacy or digital organizing work for political campaigns or non-profit groups.

• 1+ year(s) of management experience.

• Excellent planning skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and campaigns under tight deadlines.

• Experience leading national campaigns and a track record of successfully increasing digital engagement.

• Deep commitment to testing, reporting, and analyzing results.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ACLU of Alaska seeks a Deputy Legal Director to serve as the lead civil rights and liberties litigator-managing their own caseload, supporting the work of other affiliate attorneys, leading the build of a pipeline of talent for Alaska civil rights and liberties defense, and partnering with outside counsel-in the ongoing effort to protect and expand the civil liberties and civil rights of all Alaskans. They pursue work via an integrated advocacy model coordinating among the legal, policy, communications, and community engagement teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary duty of the Deputy Legal Director will be to ensure that the ACLU of Alaska develops and delivers work of the highest quality in state and federal court, in cases chosen for the prospect of advancing the rights of all Alaskans.

• Represent the ACLU of Alaska and its clients in all aspects of complex impact litigation, including factual and legal research, client relationship building, discovery, motion practice, trials, appeals, and amicus work;

• Litigate in state and federal court, including acting as lead counsel, second chair, or co-counsel;

• Evaluate legal issues for potential new cases;

• Screen and work with plaintiffs;

• Collaborate with outside pro bono co-counsel; and

• Mentor other attorneys on staff, including legal fellows and summer clerks, in the art and practice of litigation.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
The ACLU of Alaska’s integrated approach to justice requires their attorneys to support the work of the entire team, so that all staff-attorneys and non-attorneys alike, work on shared strategic priorities with an accurate and informed understanding of relevant legal matters and their importance for the mission. Additionally, the Deputy Legal Director has an opportunity to build and nurture a pipeline of legal talent in service to civil rights and liberties defense in Alaska.

• Support the development and implementation of a strategic impact litigation program to advance key civil liberties through state and federal courts, administrative tribunals, and regulatory agencies;

• Provide subject matter support and advice to the Legal and Policy Directors on state and municipal legislative matters, including supervising the work of staff attorneys who may be assigned discrete policy issues;

• Support the Legal Department’s role in affiliate strategic planning to identify current and future issue priority areas;

• Participate in regular team meetings, including teams of more than legal staff, to contribute to the affiliate’s integrated advocacy approach;

• Network and develop relationships with relevant community organizations and individual advocates; and

• Deliver ‘’know your rights” presentations, continuing legal education courses, and other presentations in the community.

Grossman Solutions, working with Battleground NY, is hiring Campaign Canvassers to talk with voters in an outreach campaign in support of the Democratic House candidates in New York’s 17th Congressional District. This role will be based in Rockland and Westchester Counties.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Groundwork Collaborative is seeking a Vice President of Media Engagement to lead the organization’s press and earned media operation and expand the reach and influence of its economic narrative work. This is a new senior leadership role within Groundwork’s communication team, created to bring together two powerful assets: a growing in-house press operation and the Economic Speakers Bureau, which is helping diversify the expert voices sharpening coverage and conversation about the economy.

The Vice President will build the strategy, relationships, systems, and team necessary to ensure that Groundwork’s research, experts, campaigns, and ideas consistently break through in a dynamic, rapidly evolving media environment. They will translate Groundwork’s broader communications and organizational priorities into high-impact media strategies—from proactive narrative campaigns and major report launches to rapid response and opportunities to shape breaking news.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Communications, the Vice President will directly manage Groundwork’s press team and provide strategic leadership for the Economic Speakers Bureau. Build and sustain a powerful media network

Drive integrated organizational campaigns

WORK LOCATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Position Summary:

The Human Rights Campaign is the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights and advocacy organization dedicated to achieving equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community. HRC’s Federal & State Affairs Department drives the organization’s legal and policy agenda using legislative and administrative advocacy in legislatures, before agencies, and with policymakers, and litigation in the courts.

About This Role
The Communications Associate is part of a small, collaborative four-person team that operates as a strategic communications hub for Maryland’s progressive movement. In 2025 alone, Trump has signed over 200 Executive Orders that have directly impacted millions of Americans and led to:

• The loss of basic human rights and the separation of families due to unjust ICE raids

• A massive increase in the wealth of the top 1% at the expense of basic healthcare and unbiased public media funding

• An economy where tariffs and inflation is so high millions of people are working multiple jobs and still can’t pay their bills

• Widespread feelings of hopelessness and outrage amongst young voter.

The outcome of Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections will determine the balance of power in the House which will influence the make-up of Congress, as some of the most competitive congressional races will happen in our backyard. Which will allow us to create a congress that can hold the President accountable to representing the people, not billionaires.

In 2026, young Pennsylvanians will have the opportunity to elect a Governor, who will be instrumental in standing up to a government that has constantly overlooked the youth. At an estimated 793,555 registered voters across the state, Gen-Z has the power to determine the outcomes of these elections–but only if we get organized now.

Since 2023, P26 has built a team of strong youth advocates for Gen-Z, and has worked to create a community for us in politics, through peer-to-peer outreach, —and we’re building a scrappy and innovative team that will organize and inspire thousands of PA youth to vote in both the Primary and General Elections in 2026.

This is not a conventional organizing position. Instead of spending time in a field office making calls, a typical day will require being on campus or in the community in person talking to young people, managing teams of fellows and volunteers, and fostering relationships with campus and community networks for long-term collaboration. Continue building our Western strategy: Continue developing and implementing a Western strategy, with a particular focus on Nevada and other necessary states

• Build a deep, ongoing understanding of the region’s political landscape, progressive infrastructure, challenges, and opportunities through ongoing landscape analyses, and serve as experts in the region at MVP.

• Bottom-line efforts to identify opportunities for regional approaches to support ecosystem building, policy gains, and/or electoral needs.

Build a deep and ongoing understanding and strategy for the region: Informed by local partners and other resources, build an understanding of the progressive ecosystem – political, policy, and infrastructure – to inform short-term and long-term investment recommendations within the region.

• Work with local, state, and national partners to identify opportunities for state partners to work across state lines to support policy goals, ecosystem building, and/or electoral goals. Examples could include building regional policy groups in support of an environmental project with multistate impact; securing and identifying volunteers to support critical election needs in nearby states, etc.

• Ensure power-building investments are reflective of MVP’s values, especially mission- based and our commitment to anti-oppression, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice.

• Through regular meetings with partners and allies, build and maintain trusting, values-driven, strategic relationships.

• Work with local groups to strengthen their annual and multi-year electoral, issue advocacy, and base-building plans; at times, particularly for start-up and developing organizations, this may include helping them draft plans and budgets, or even to expand existing plans — aka, helping groups “dream big”!

• Identify state infrastructure gaps and political opportunities, then work with partners and allies to address and build infrastructure and take advantage of political opportunities.

Make investment recommendations: Draft internal strategy documents and external C3, C4, and PAC state plans that make the case for where, when, how, and how much to invest for short- and long-term success in building progressive power through grassroots organizing. Plans may include landscape analyses; assessments of partner staffing and capacity needs; opportunities, challenges, and gaps both within and between organizations; key best practices to share; budgets; and more.

• Manage your grantmaking budget for the state, including tracking partner budget gaps and adjusting the grantmaking budget accordingly.

• Based on identified infrastructure gaps and opportunities, nurture new and emerging movement voter organizing groups, alliances, and special projects or campaigns

• Work with MVP’s grantmaking team to administer and track grants across the state. Keep all MVP tracking systems updated and ensure all recommendations for grantmaking are current and meet legal compliance in Airtable or other systems of record.

Strengthen organizational development: In partnership with MVP’s Capacity Building team, support local groups in assessing their staffing and capacity needs, upgrading their operations, identifying opportunities and gaps, and implementing best practices.

Align with allied donors, funders, and intermediaries: Liaise and actively engage with relevant stakeholders as appropriate: local funders, organizing networks, intermediaries, influencers, etc.

• Develop relationships with local funders, partners, and intermediaries to advise their work in the state and/or fund state plans, in partnership with MVP’s Senior State Strategy Director and State Programs Team leadership

• Lead MVP’s engagement with the state C3, C4, donor tables, and other local alliances as appropriate.

Document, communicate, and evaluate progress: Work with state-based groups to complete compelling and legally compliant program reports that are rooted in state plans, measure progress to goals, and continue to inspire movement-building and donor support for this work.

• Provide strategic insights to State Programs Team leadership about how MVP reporting processes can continue to evolve to meet legal compliance and other needs

• Offer feedback and suggestions to state-based organizational leaders about their progress to goals.

• Share “what’s working” with other partners and fellow State Advisors to facilitate continued relationships and growth.

• Document and share with MVP staff stories and photos from local organizations, campaigns, and individuals that illustrate the success of your state’s strategy monthly and in key moments.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Note: Well-qualified candidates may not necessarily meet every single point below.

• Depth of knowledge of political and movement ecosystems in the state gained through political campaign experience and/or movement organizing experience (ideally both!).

• Experience working across diverse movements, coalitions, and constituencies.

• Passion for supporting a diverse ecosystem of grassroots organizations.

• Ability to assess state funding landscapes and grassroots groups’ capacity to grow and expand.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.

• Organizational and campaign leadership experience, preferably at the senior level.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• In-depth understanding of the funding landscape in Western states, with a particular interest in Nevada, as well as the funding needs of grassroots groups in the state.

• Some experience with, or strong desire to learn about, fundraising and grantmaking.

• Demonstrated success supporting and coaching a wide variety of leaders and organizers.

• Experience in state-based organizational leadership roles.

• Familiarity with field campaign data and tools, including Slack, Airtable, VAN, and Google Suite.

• Some experience with, or strong desire to learn about, compliance issues that guide 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC work.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary Range: $142,800 - $163,200 (based on skills and experience)

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Full-time, remote, exempt position
