Civitech is seeking experienced, well-connected Independent Consultants to provide critical local context, voter protection insights, and strategic introductions for the upcoming election cycle. If you possess deep expertise in election administration, progressive campaigns, or community organizing, this high-impact contract allows you to protect the vote on a fully flexible schedule.
📅 Timeline: October 19, 2026 – Mid-November 2026 (Potential extension through post-election cure deadlines)
💰 Compensation: $40.00 – $45.00 / hour (1099 Independent Contractor)
⏱️ Hours: Approximately 10–20 hours/week (~80 hours total)
🌍 Location: Remote / Local Context (In-person services or travel addressed per assignment)
💼 The Opportunity
As a Consultant, you will act as a vital bridge between high-level data and local election realities. You will define your own methods and schedule to deliver targeted results directly to Civitech’s Senior Program Director.
Scope of Services:
Navigate Local Elections: Provide crucial context on regional ballot cure procedures and rapidly changing election administration questions.
Leverage Networks: Facilitate key introductions to local party contacts, campaign staff, voter protection partners, and election administrators.
Investigate & Clarify: Lawfully cut through bureaucratic red tape to clarify local voting processes and identify resources to resolve emerging issues.
Synthesize Findings: Deliver actionable summaries, confirm procedural rules, and outline clear next steps for the voter protection team.
Note: This role focuses strictly on high-level consulting and intelligence. It does not include field operations, staff supervision, or acting as a standing representative at election offices.

Proven Track Record: An active consulting practice or professional service background in political affairs, election administration, or voter protection.
Political Expertise: Direct experience working with progressive campaigns, state/local parties, coordinated campaigns, or civil rights organizations.
Deep Local Roots: Existing professional relationships and substantive, trusted knowledge of the local communities you propose to support.
Sharpened Skillset: Exceptional judgment, absolute discretion with sensitive data, and the ability to independently deliver hyper-accurate, verifiable findings.
