GAIN Power will offer our Talent in Transition leadership development program and pipeline retention program, which is dedicated to campaign staff and activists preparing for their next opportunity and looking to scale up their professional skills. The events will be virtual and take place in our Zoom Events Portal.
Resource webinars, panels, and workshops will be offered in our new “Pathfinder Sessions” as well as our “Leadership Lab” series, featuring stakeholders and leaders from the progressive political community.

Pathfinder Session: Closing the Chapter on 2024
Monday, November 18, 1 PM - 2:30 PM ET
Win or lose, when a campaign comes to an end, we need space to process the results and debrief our experiences. In this session, you’ll be given the opportunity to do so authentically and productively so that you are able to process what you went through and what the results of the election mean to you. You’ll also be asked to consider how you operated in your role this year; What are you most proud of? What do you wish you did differently? What did you learn about yourself and how does that impact what you might want to do next? Doing this kind of reflection in the immediate aftermath of the election gives you an opportunity to integrate the lessons you learned and close the chapter on this challenging cycle, making way for whatever’s next. Pathfinder Session: “The Pivot” Workshop

Hosted by Michelle Ngwafon and Déjah Désirée Williams, where they will offer experience and guidance on making important pivots between roles and career paths within the progressive space.
Leadership Lab: It’s November, Now What?
Tuesday, November 19, 2 PM - 3:30 PM ET
Join us for an instructive session on planning your next career step with intention. Led by veteran campaigner and certified career coach Emily Parcell, participants will discuss key aspects of personal branding and interviewing, discover their intrinsic motivation for work and its various applications in the political space, and explore five types of resumes to make them stand out from the job seeker crowd. Expect light pre-work and in-session exercises.

Join the Leadership Lab with Blueline and its founder, Lorenza Ramirez. The panel will focus on their own experiences with post-election, what Blueline is, and how its paid fellowship placement program can help you. Following the discussion, there will be a Power Hour with ARENA for attendees.
Pathfinder Session: Building Long-Term Resilience: Developing Your Skills as well as Yourself

Working in progressive campaigns and advocacy can be a long and rewarding career -- but only if you take care of yourself well enough to sustain through the ups and downs of the work. This means building both the technical skills in your job and the personal skills to keep yourself centered, focused, joyful, and resilient while you do the work. This session will provide you with an overview of the skills it takes to do that well, and train you in some tangible tools you can use in your work. The goal of this session is to help you build the personal skills that will enable you to sustain yourself through the challenging but incredibly rewarding work of progressive campaigns and advocacy.
