Description
About Shontel: Shontel M. Lewis was born and raised in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood. She’s spent her time on Denver City Council — and her entire career — fighting for the Denver we deserve and is now running for Mayor of Denver! Her priorities for a thriving city include restoring city services, building social housing, implementing a vacancy tax on intentionally unoccupied buildings, ending mass surveillance, protecting small business, and taxing the rich.
About Shontel for the People: Our people-powered campaign launched in late July, just officially qualified for the Fair Election Fund, and now we’re looking for the right person to take us from this post-launch period all the way to the mayor’s office. We’re bringing on talent who can take us to the next milestones: qualifying for the ballot in December, building a coalition all across Denver, and winning the election on April 6.
