About the Program
Texas Majority PAC is a voter contact organization working year-round to elect Democrats and flip our state! TMP has launched Rally TX as a statewide effort to get Texans who don’t usually vote connected to the issues that hit their wallets every day. We are recruiting regular, everyday Texans to join virtual events to learn how policy shapes the cost of living, and how they can make a difference. They get paid for joining an event and reaching out to their friends and family about voting.
Student Fellows are the engine that brings this program to campuses. You’ll be recruiting your classmates and friends to sign up for these events.
What You’ll Do
Work high-traffic areas on your campus with a clipboard, flyers, and a Rally TX shirt, meeting students where they are
Lead Dorm Storms - 2 to 3 hour outreach shifts talking directly with students in on-campus dorms and off-campus student housing
Recruit through your own networks: friends, family, classmates, teammates, and student organizations
Focus on recruiting students who aren’t already politically engaged. We’re looking for the people who usually sit elections out, not the ones who vote every cycle
Track how many people you recruit and check in regularly with your program manager
Bring ideas. If you have a creative way to reach students on your campus, we want to hear it and help you run it
Pay and Hours
Super part-time and flexible, designed to work around your class schedule. Up to 8 paid hours per week
$20/hour base pay for scheduled outreach time, including a paid training day
$10 bonus for every recruit who completes the class
Fellows hitting their goals earn around $960 over the program, and our strongest recruiters will clear $1,000+. Your bonuses are uncapped, so the more students you bring in, the more you earn
Straight talk about this role: This is a new program and you’re helping us test it on campuses. We want to see how well it works and whether it’s something we continue growing through the election. That means hours and program length can change based on performance and results. This works great as a gig alongside school. It is not a guaranteed set number of hours, and continued participation depends on hitting your goals. We’ll be upfront with you about expectations from day one.

What You’ll Gain

Testing and evaluating organizing strategies
Tracking recruitment data and using results to improve outreach
Fellows will work directly with experienced Texas organizers and gain practical experience building an organizing program on their own campus.
Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
Currently enrolled students at Texas colleges and universities.
Natural recruiters. If you’ve recruited for a fraternity, sorority, student org, team, or anything else, tell us about it
Self-starters who can work independently around their class schedule
People who are comfortable walking up to strangers and starting a conversation
Connected on campus: NPHC members, student org leaders, RAs, and team captains tend to thrive in this role
