About the Role
Vote Kansas PAC is seeking a Special Programs Organizer to support our growing team for the 2026 election. The Special Programs Organizer will serve as an agile operator within the campaign team and will report to the Special Programs Director.
This position leads high-priority initiatives, rapid-response activations, and specialized field projects across the state. In addition, this role serves as a primary tracker for opponent events, public messaging, and field dynamics. You will play a vital role in ensuring our campaign stays responsive, strategic, and proactive across Kansas.
What You’ll Do
Build and manage relationships with an assigned set of community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders as directed by the campaign
Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders to build organizing capacity within assigned communities
Plan and execute outreach events, meetings, and mobilizations tailored to assigned communities
Track organizing metrics and engagement in VAN or other systems as directed
Project manage cross-functional special programs, including timelines, task tracking, and coordination across teams
Build and maintain tracking systems (spreadsheets, project management tools) to keep projects organized and on scheduleRepresent the campaign at coalition meetings and community events as assigned
Provide regular updates to campaign leadership on project status and outreach progress

Requirements
Required Qualifications
1+ years of experience in political campaigns, organizing, advocacy, or community outreach
Strong project management skills and able to juggle multiple workstreams and keep projects on track
Demonstrated experience in community organizing, coalition building, or grassroots advocacy
High comfort with tech tools: VAN/VoteBuilder, spreadsheets, and project management platforms (e.g. Asana, Airtable, Google Sheets)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail, strong team-player mindset, and willingness to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities.
Willingness to travel within Kansas and work evenings/weekends as needed
